Nicola Pulford, Soprano

Lincolnshire Soprano, Nicola Pulford, is currently studying for her Masters degree at the Wales International Academy of Voice in Cardiff, working with world-renowned Tenor, Maestro Dennis O’Neill. Her previous study includes time at Trinity College of Music, London where she received two scholarships and gained a First Class Honours Degree and Diploma with Distinction. She was also a student of the English National Opera Works.

Stage credits include Musetta La boheme, Meri in Amor y Guerra, Sylvia Merry Widow, Shepherd boy Tosca, Mabel The Pirates of Penzance, Yum Yum The Mikado and Carmella in Menotti’s The Saint of Bleecker Street. Opera excerpts include Despina Cosi Fan Tutte, Marzelline Fidelio, Susanna Le Nozze di Figaro, Frasquita Carmen, Papagena Die Zauberflöte and Gretel Hansel & Gretel

Nicola has toured across the UK, Europe and Asia. She has worked with a variety of companies in the UK, including Opera Holland Park, Charles Court Opera, Kentish Opera, Opera Anywhere, Carl Rosa, Opera UK, Absolutely Opera and the G&S Opera Company. She also attended Dartington International Summer School, the Benslow Music Trust and British Youth Opera.

Concert and recital work includes opera galas in Dubai, prize-winning performances in Spain and premiering a work in Paris. Her repertoire spans from Britten’s Les Illuminations to Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater and Mozart’s Requiem. She has worked with Sir David Willcocks and the late Sir Charles Mackerras and was a Young Concert Artist’s Trust semi-finalist.
